GoldB/24
How BeBranded helped promote Vanluc's "Gold B/24" project with a multilingual website
On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings, artist Vanluc created the "Gold B/24" sculpture, a symbolic piece installed in Arromanches-les-Bains, an emblematic location of the D-Day. His ambition was to pay tribute to the historic events while providing visitors with easy and direct access to information about the sculpture. To achieve this, he wanted to implement an innovative system allowing spectators to learn more about the piece by simply scanning a QR code placed on a plaque in front of the sculpture.
The challenge
The main objective was to create a multilingual website that clearly and accessibly presents the history and purpose of the "Gold B/24" sculpture. It was essential that visitors could quickly understand the concept and origins of the artwork, with a simple and intuitive user experience that ensured quick and effective access to information. The website needed to be not only visually appealing but also fully functional across all devices to reach an international audience.
Our solution
To meet Vanluc's needs, we developed a one-page website using Framer, an ideal platform for fluid and interactive design. The initial mock-up was created on Figma, which helped structure the design and ensure the aesthetics aligned with the spirit of the artwork.
The design was approached with a minimalist philosophy, highlighting the sculpture itself without distracting users. The choice of colors, typography, and layout was carefully selected to enhance the clarity of the content and draw attention to the key elements of the sculpture. This simplicity allowed visitors to focus on what mattered most while enjoying a smooth and pleasant navigation experience.
The website was also designed to be multilingual, with versions available in several languages. This feature was crucial to make the project accessible to an international audience, considering the historical importance of the location and event. Visitors could easily scan the QR code in front of the sculpture and instantly access the site in their preferred language, ensuring universal understanding of the project.

Technical aspects
By using Framer, we integrated subtle animations that added a dynamic visual dimension to the website without compromising its simplicity. The creation process began with producing the mock-up on Figma, which allowed us to visualize and adjust the design before moving to the development phase on Framer. This approach made the transition from design to final integration seamless, ensuring every element matched Vanluc's expectations.
The site was optimized to be responsive, guaranteeing a smooth user experience across all devices, whether on smartphones, tablets, or desktop computers. This optimization ensured that visitors could access information quickly and efficiently, no matter where they were.
The results
The launch of the website maximized the accessibility of the "Gold B/24" sculpture to a diverse audience. Thanks to the QR code integration, visitors could easily scan and access all relevant information in seconds. The clear design and intuitive navigation encouraged users to explore the project further, enhancing the visibility of the sculpture and its international reach.
In collaboration with Vanluc, we were able to bring his vision to life through an elegant and effective website that highlights the "Gold B/24" sculpture and its profound meanings. By choosing a minimalist and multilingual approach, we ensured that the information was accessible, relevant, and easy to navigate for all visitors, providing a rich experience that fully reflects the essence of the artwork.
